- High-contrast and dark mode — our Swiss‑style colour palette is designed to meet contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Zoom and scaling — the interface remains usable at 200% zoom without loss of functionality or horizontal scrolling.
2. WCAG 2.1 AA Compliance Status
ImageVixo is designed with the following WCAG 2.1 AA principles in mind. We are continuously evaluating and improving our compliance:

Text alternatives for non‑text content, captions, and adaptable presentation.

Keyboard accessible, enough time, seizure-safe, and easy navigation.
Understandable
Readable text, predictable behaviour, and input assistance.

Compatible with assistive technologies and standards.
We use automated accessibility testing tools (axe, Lighthouse, WAVE) and conduct manual testing to ensure our interface meets or exceeds these standards.
3. Key Accessibility Features
Keyboard Shortcuts
Power users can navigate entirely via keyboard: Ctrl+A select all, Esc deselect/close, Backspace delete selected, Ctrl+D download, Ctrl+Enter apply compression.
Focus Management
Clear focus indicators on all interactive elements, with logical tab order and trap management inside modals and drawers.
Colour Contrast & Themes
All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios. A persistent Light/Dark mode toggle allows users to choose their preferred visual theme.
Resize & Zoom
The interface uses relative units and flexible grid layouts, so content remains readable and usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
ARIA & Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML, proper ARIA landmarks, roles, and descriptive labels are used throughout to ensure screen readers accurately convey the interface.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
ImageVixo is tested with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen Readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android).
- Speech Recognition: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Windows Speech Recognition.
- Browser Zoom & Reader Modes: ZoomText, browser zoom, and reading views.
- Switch Access: We design for switch‑accessible navigation through keyboard‑only operation.
We aim to support the latest versions of these tools to the extent possible.
5. Known Issues & Workarounds
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we acknowledge the following known limitations:
- Canvas-based Image Previews: Images rendered on canvas may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide alternative text for images and ensure all interactive controls are accessible via keyboard.
- Drag-and-Drop: The drag-and-drop upload zone supports keyboard file selection via the "Choose Images" button.
- Colour Picker: The colour picker for watermark and fill colours relies on native browser input, which is generally accessible.
We are actively working to resolve these issues and improve our accessibility posture.
