Control Mode
Sets the automation strategy for optimization.
What it is: A dynamic algorithm matching source image dimensions and file sizes to optimal quality parameters.
What it is for: Quick general-purpose compression without manual configuration.
How to use: Select "Auto" in Control Mode, then select "Smart Mode" from the segmented options.
What it is: An aggressive quality-focused profile targeting high fidelity (80-92% quality thresholds).
What it is for: Preserving fine details in photographs and portfolio assets.
How to use: Click "Best Quality" under the Auto goal list.
What it is: A high-ratio compression pass combined with an automatic 1280px dimension limit.
What it is for: Minimizing bandwidth overhead for rapid loading speeds.
How to use: Click "Best Compression" under the Auto goal list.
What it is: Raw user overrides for every baseline encoder parameter.
What it is for: Fine-tuning specific codec values to match exact target parameters.
How to use: Click "Manual" on the compMode segmented selector.
Quality & Codec Effort
Controls the core quality factors for the active image encoders.
What it is: A 1% to 100% numerical quality value modifier.
What it is for: Adjusting the compression ratio of lossy formats (JPEG, WebP, AVIF).
How to use: Drag the slider or adjust with keyboard arrow keys.
What it is: An execution pass level (Low, Medium, High, Extreme).
What it is for: Balancing compression time against file size savings (higher effort means smaller sizes at identical quality, but longer processing times).
How to use: Click the desired option on the Effort segmented control.
AVIF Tuning
Advanced settings dedicated to next-generation AVIF (AV1 Intra) encoding.
What it is: Speed thresholds (0 to 10) mapped to libavif encoding routines.
What it is for: Speeding up the export of heavy images (Fast = 10) or maximizing byte savings (Max = 0).
How to use: Select Fast, Balanced, or Maximum from the Speed segmented bar.
What it is: Spatial resolution levels for image color data.
What it is for: Choosing 4:2:0 (cuts color
detail in half, ideal for photos) or 4:4:4 (retains full color detail, ideal
for text, illustrations, and UI screenshots).
How to use: Toggle between 4:2:0 and 4:4:4 in the subsampling segmented group.
Vector Processing Engine
Advanced pixel manipulation models for geometric optimization.
What it is: 4D K-Means vector clustering over RGBA coordinates.
What it is for: Reducing the number of colors in an image by merging similar shades into a custom palette of 16-256 color clusters.
How to use: Check "Deep Color Vector Quantization" and adjust the Clusters slider (16 to 256).
What it is: A spatial grid rounding pass (2px to 8px steps).
What it is for: Flattening pixel patterns across flat areas to dramatically improve compression ratios.
How to use: Check "Vector Coordinate Reduction" and adjust the Grid Step slider.
Target Size & Dimensions
Size-based optimization constraints.
What it is: A targeted size value specified in KB, MB, or % ratio.
What it is for: Forcing ImageVixo to automatically scale down encoding quality until the output file fits under the specified limit.
How to use: Set your unit (KB/MB/%), then type your limit value into the field.
What it is: Pixel boundary limit fields.
What it is for: Scaling down images that exceed size limits while maintaining a minimum resolution.
How to use: Enter pixel values into the W and H fields. Check "Keep ratio" to prevent distortion.
What it is: A toggle that disables scaling.
What it is for: Keeping original pixel dimensions intact regardless of quality or goal settings.
How to use: Check the "Don't change dimensions" box.
File Format Transcoding
Output Format Grid
Converts files to another container format during export.
What it is: A selection grid featuring 12 extensions:
ORIG (matches source extension), JPG, PNG,
WEBP, AVIF, ICO, GIF, BMP,
TIFF, JFIF, APNG, and CUR.
What it is for: Transcoding images between different formats to balance compression and compatibility.
How to use: Click any format chip in the grid to apply it to selected images.
Specialized Layouts (Cursor & Favicon)
Dedicated options for Windows Cursor (.CUR) and Icon (.ICO) formats.
What it is: X/Y click hotspot coordinate mapping.
What it is for: Setting the active pixel coordinate used to trigger cursor clicks.
How to use: Choose Top-Left, Center, or Custom coordinates to set exact pixel locations.
What it is: A resolution picker ranging from 16×16 to 256×256 pixels.
What it is for: Packaging compliant multi-resolution Windows favicon files.
How to use: Click the desired size button in the panel.
Filename Pattern
Controls the naming convention for exported files.
What it is: Format options: Original, Add "-compressed" suffix, Timestamp, or Sequential numbering.
What it is for: Organizing batch files and preventing name conflicts during export.
How to use: Select your preferred option from the dropdown menu.
Canvas & Layout Structuring
Crop Mode
Removes unwanted outer areas of an image.
What it is: Preset crop ratios (1:1, 4:5, 16:9, etc.) or "Free" crop.
What it is for: Fitting images into specific standard dimensions (such as social media post formats).
How to use: Select a ratio, then use the 9-point grid to choose which area to center the crop around.
What it is: A visual canvas guide representing the crop boundaries.
What it is for: Visualizing exactly how the cropped image will look.
How to use: Drag on the image thumbnail inside the sidebar preview box to adjust the crop position.
Resize/Fit & Padding
Fits an image into different aspect ratios without cropping by adding padding.
What it is: Options to fill padding areas with solid colors (White, Black, Transparent, Custom Color), Multi-stop Gradients, or a Background Image.
What it is for: Decorating padding areas when fitting images into different ratios.
How to use: Select a fill type. If "Gradient" is chosen, add color stops, pick linear/radial/conic style, and set the rotation angle.
What it is: A checkbox that overrides aspect ratio preservation.
What it is for: Forcing an image to fill the target dimensions by stretching it, which may distort proportions.
How to use: Check the "Stretch Image to Fit" box.
Color Grading & Image Filters
Preset Filters
One-click color styles.
What it is: Professionally configured color styles (Warm Glow, Cool Frost, Cinematic, Cyberpunk, etc.).
What it is for: Instantly changing the look and mood of your images.
How to use: Click on any preset thumbnail in the filter grid.
25 Manual Sliders
Fine-tune specific brightness, contrast, and color values.
What it is: Sliders for Exposure, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, and Blacks.
What it is for: Fine-tuning color balance and lighting details manually.
How to use: Drag any slider to adjust the corresponding setting.
What it is: Special effect filters including Bloom/Glow, Vignette, Film Grain, and Mosaic Pixelation.
What it is for: Adding vintage, retro, or stylized digital effects to your images.
How to use: Expand the Advanced Filters section and adjust the desired effect sliders.
Watermark Overlays & Branding
Text Watermarks
Adds custom text overlays to your images.
What it is: Custom text settings featuring 120+ fonts organized by category (Sans, Serif, Script, Display, etc.).
What it is for: Stamping names, dates, or copyright information in a font that matches your branding.
How to use: Click "+ Add Text", type your text, choose a font, and set the text color, style (bold/italic), and size.
What it is: Allows watermarks to be filled with solid colors, multi-stop gradients, or custom image textures.
What it is for: Making watermarks blend in subtly or stand out with unique colors.
How to use: Choose Solid, Gradient, or Texture under Color Style. Upload a file or add color stops to customize.
What it is: Soft shadows and text outline borders.
What it is for: Keeping text readable when placed over different colored areas of an image.
How to use: Toggle "Shadow" or "Stroke" on, then set the color and thickness.
Logo Watermarks
Adds graphic logo overlays (like PNG files) to your images.
What it is: Uploads custom branding logos and applies real-time color filters (e.g. grayscale or sepia).
What it is for: Stamping logo graphics onto images while keeping the watermark file sizes optimized.
How to use: Click "+ Add Logo", upload your image, and adjust scale, opacity, and choose a filter.
Overlay Mechanics & Tiling
Controls where and how watermarks are positioned.
What it is: A 9-point grid for watermark placement, combined with a -180° to 180° rotation slider.
What it is for: Placing watermarks in corners, edges, or center, and rotating them to discourage cropping.
How to use: Click a cell on the 9-point grid, then adjust the Rotation slider.
What it is: A toggle that repeats the watermark across the entire image in a grid pattern.
What it is for: Protecting the entire image from unauthorized cropping or theft.
How to use: Turn on "Tile", then adjust the Gap X/Y sliders to control spacing.
EXIF Mappings & Privacy Shield
Profile Creation
Sets custom metadata properties to inject into exported files.
What it is: A reusable group of custom metadata values.
What it is for: Applying camera information, artist details, and copyright tags to batches of images quickly.
How to use: Click "+ Add Profile", type a name, and fill out the fields.
Tokens & Naming
Automatically renames files using dynamic values during export.
What it is: Special shorthand text variables (e.g.
$DATE, $WIDTH, $NN) that are replaced with real file
values upon export.
What it is for: Renaming large batches of files automatically (such as "Holiday-001.jpg", "Holiday-002.jpg").
How to use: Type tokens directly into the "Filename
Pattern" field (e.g., $DATE - $NAME).
EXIF & GPS Location Mappings
Edits hidden camera and location data stored inside image files.
What it is: Text fields saved inside the file properties.
What it is for: Storing ownership, copyright, and creator details inside the image file structure.
How to use: Enter your name and copyright year into the Artist and Copyright fields.
What it is: Numerical coordinate fields saved inside the file properties.
What it is for: Geotagging images with location coordinates.
How to use: Open the Advanced accordion panel, and enter
numerical coordinates (e.g., 40.7128, -74.0060).
EXIF Privacy Shield
Protects your privacy by removing tracking data.
What it is: A toggle that removes all original camera metadata.
What it is for: Removing hidden GPS coordinates, camera serial numbers, and timestamps to protect your privacy before posting images online.
How to use: Check the "Strip original EXIF" box at the bottom of the profile fields.
Workspace Presets
Saving and Loading Presets
Saves your current workspace configuration to reuse later.
What it is: Saves your current settings (format, quality, crops, watermark, filters, metadata) as a custom named profile.
What it is for: Saving your editing configuration so you can reapply it quickly to future image batches.
How to use: Click "＋ Save Current Settings", type a name and description, and click "Save".
What it is: Automatically reapplies saved preset configurations to your selected images.
What it is for: Standardizing image formats and branding across different projects with a single click.
How to use: Select one or more images on the dashboard, scroll to the Presets list, and click "Apply" next to your saved preset.
What it is: Resets selected images back to the default settings.
What it is for: Clearing custom settings and starting fresh.
How to use: Click the "Remove" button next to the active preset.
Magic-Byte File Diagnostics
Diagnostic Audit
Inspects the internal structure of files to verify their formats.
What it is: Compares file extensions (e.g. .jpg) against real binary format headers.
What it is for: Detecting incorrect extensions (e.g. a PNG file renamed to JPG) and corrupted images.
How to use: View the live diagnostic report shown under each image card in the Validator section.
Enforce Format Auto-Correction
Automatically resolves extension conflicts on upload.
What it is: A toggle that corrects extensions automatically.
What it is for: Automatically correcting file extensions to match their actual formats upon upload to prevent loading errors.
How to use: Check the "Enforce true format correction on upload" box.
Image Inspector
Per-Image Metadata & Performance Audit
Displays detailed information and metrics for each image.
What it is: Displays metadata and compression details for each image (Original vs Compressed size, active Crop/Resize aspect ratios, active presets, and processing speed).
What it is for: Analyzing compression results and verifying exact settings applied to individual images.
How to use: Select an image, open the Details accordion, and click the file name header to view information.
Utilities, Tools & Hotkeys
Ecosystem Utilities
Advanced diagnostic and navigation tools built into the workspace.
What it is: A list recording every action taken during your session (uploads, configuration changes, compression results, downloads).
What it is for: Reviewing adjustments and export history (clears on page refresh).
